Woolley Fest 2025 ~ what a launch

This happened a week ago and I was honored to be part of the inaugural event as a volunteer.

"Woolley Fest 2025 was an extraordinary freeride mountain biking event held on August 30, 2025, in Sedro-Woolley, Washington, marking the first-ever FEST Series gathering in North America since 2019 and embedding a new freeride culture in the Pacific Northwest.

This grassroots, self-funded festival featured a world-class lineup of freeride athletes, including names like Talus Turk, Ryan McNulty, Eddie Reynolds, and Caleb Holonko, who pushed the sport’s progression through a challenging course built by the Shire Crew.

The event took place at The Lookout, a rider-built venue deep in the PNW, designed to showcase creativity through a mix of trail riding, dirt jumping, and big air with massive jumps, step-downs, hips, drops, and shark fins, providing riders ample space for expression and progression. Woolley Fest offered not only incredible riding but also a vibrant community experience with live music, food, beer, raffles featuring pro-built freeride bikes, art installations, and DJ sets, all emphasizing community, creativity, and the core spirit of freeride culture.

Organized by renowned riders Ryan McNulty and Talus Turk in partnership with Nico Vink and the FEST Series, Woolley Fest was designed to inspire the next generation while promoting self-expression and the love of riding in a supportive environment. The event included special opportunities like the Blue Ribbon Lap with pros and an exclusive HESH movie premiere, further enriching the festival atmosphere. Overall, Woolley Fest 2025 stood out as a landmark event blending top-level freeride competition with a celebratory community festival, setting a promising precedent for future editions in the Pacific Northwest."
