Starting the New Year at a Beach ~ of course

I realized last week that I've never lived further than a mile away from any ocean (Pacific or Atlantic)... all of my life. Therefore I derive such comfort from the feeling of sand and the sound of waves ~ it's such a calming experience and what better way to start a year.
