There is a lot to know about bees...

... and I haven't even gotten to the birds yet.

Yesterday after visiting the studio in Pt. Costa (see posting below), Nancy and I went to Marshall's Farm in American Canyon near Vallejo for a two hour tour of the bee keeping and honey making process. This is a tour where you definitely get your 'money's worth' as you are able to speak to the proprietors, work with bees, see the manufacturing facility (extraction of honey) and generally learn about bee behavior and honey making. The most amazing thing I left with was the thought that honey should cost the same as gold with the amount of labor going into it! I also enjoyed meeting a rooster named Mr. Pants since it looks like he's wearing a pair. To see more photos click here.
