rethinking our relationships to place, history, and time

For a couple of months now I've been really intrigued by a piece of art hanging in a local Sausalito Art Gallery by artist Laura Boles Faw who is right up my alley when it comes to concept and art. This piece (called Perception 2007) is beautiful on so many levels. It is composed of many various plastic lenses from eyeglasses all wired together and hanging from the ceiling like a curtain. I've tried to take some photos of it and also a link to the photos on her website. I viewed this piece today both in silence and then also while listening to this song by The Airborne Toxic Event called Sometime Around Midnight (loud on the iPod). The result was personally transcendent.
