Idioms -- no wonder I'm misunderstood

I have always enjoyed idiomatic expressions but it's been so many years of using them that I've almost forgotten that they come out of my mouth. For example, the other day I exclaimed in the kitchen to my coworker Daniel (from Hong Kong) "my hair is on fire". He looked at me quizzically and asked what that meant. Oh boy, they don't have that saying in Cantonese. Today I found a lovely website IDIOMS BY KIDS which are well-known idioms illustrated by children. Loads of fun like this one below representing HORSE PLAY:
