fish drink cola, don't they?

My sister Rae was walking by the fish bowl yesterday -- home of goldfish {Wanda and Cosmo} but stopped in her tracks when she noticed the dark brown color of the water. She suspected her four-year-old Teddy had something to do with it because eyewitness reports had last seem him spending inordinate amounts of time around and in the fishbowl. Specifically Teddy has recently enjoyed trying to get the fish out to hold them as well as putting objects into the water, etc. So when Rae saw the water color, she asked Teddy about it and he said "I gave the fish some Diet Coke". His father Will asked Teddy "were you trying to hurt the fish?" -- for which he denied such a thing.

Miraculously both fish survived.
