The herring are in plentiful supply in the Bay right now. So that means it's the time of year where the sea lions are barking round the clock and it's comforting to be asleep and hear them (at least to me). But just the other day one of the Sausalito policemen told me a story that sometimes the residents call to complain about the 'noise' of them (no kidding). Such a quiet town!
